Commissioner Ndomahina Participates In Islamic Development Bank Portfolio Review Mission

NaCSA Commissioner Ambassador Ernest Mbaimba Ndomahina and staff of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) funded Sierra Leone Community Demand Driven (SLCDD) II Project have on Monday, August 7th 2023 joined other IsDB funded projects in various ministries, agencies and departments at the Ministry of Finance in receiving the Country Portfolio Review Mission to Sierra Leone.

The Review Mission which started from 7th August 2023 and ended on 11 August 2023 assessed the progress of the implementation of the Country activities to date, and agreed with the various Executing Agencies/Line Ministries and Project Management Units (PMU) on the necessary and appropriate action plans to expedite the implementation, disbursement, and finalizations of the respective project activities.

At NaCSA, the SLCDD II project with its development objective to progressively reduce poverty by empowering and capacitating communities to sustain their economic livelihood builds on the earlier successes of its first phase. The Project is co-funded by the government of Sierra Leone and Islamic Development Bank.

NaCSA COMMISSIONER AND IsDB DELEGATION IN THE FIELD

The NaCSA Commissioner Amb. Ernest Ndomahina has on Wednesday August 9th, 2023, taken a delegation of the IsDB staff on a conducted tour of the NaCSA IsDB funded Sierra Leone Community Demand Driven (SLCDD) II Project interventions in Moyamba District.

A day earlier, on August 8th, Amb. Ndomahina accompanied the Minister and team of the Ministry of Agriculture’s Regional Rice Value Chain Project (RRVCP), in Bum Chiefdom, Bonthe District, to assess the activities undertaken by RRVCP (the rural markets, stores, milling houses).

At the Ribbi, one of NaCSA’s SLCDD II growth poles, NaCSA field staff described the New Commissioner as “a humble and generous leader… the beacon of hope and a respecter of humanity” whom they believe will change the face of the commission. They were moved not only by the presence of the new commissioner but also by his engagement and interaction with the stakeholders and the people.
