Samuel Bekoe Bags Player Award In West Africa Championship

Following his impressive performance   Ghanaian-born defensive midfielder, Samuel Kwaku Bekoe has clinched the best player of the 2023 West Africa Champions Cup following his outstanding performance in the tournament hosted in Guinea.

Although his side suffered a 1-0 defeat to Benin’s Coton Sport FC in the final that cost them finishing as runner-up after Mama Cherie Dine’s 65-minute strike created the difference, Samuel Bekoe was also awarded the man of the match for the second time in three appearances.

Bekoe joined Bo Rangers on a short-term loan deal from East End Lions after the club decided to bolster the squad that won the 2022/23 Sierra Leone Premier League unbeaten in the quest to give Sierra Leone a better representation in the 2023 CAF Champions League a journey they will commence this weekend welcoming LISCR Football Club from Liberia at the Southern Arena in the first leg of the preliminary round.

Samuel Kwaku Bekoe quickly established himself in the country’s top-flight league when he made his debut for FC Johansen in the 2019/20 abandoned season due to his ability to win tackles, duels, and interceptions, as well as creating chances, he has bagged several man-of-the-match awards in the league, although he is yet to win any major title in Sierra Leone.
