Star Sport Football Academy in Sierra Leone has updated Journalists ahead of the Detection Tournament for all Football Academies across the Country. The Press Conference was held at their Secretariat at 81 Pademba Road, Freetown.
Yakuba Tarawallie the CEO of Star Sport Football Academy while explaining the important of the Press Conference said is to mainly inform the Press and the Football Family that one of the structure Football Academy in Country has decided to bring in Football agents that will provide clear opportunities for young Sierra Leonean talented players to at least improve their Footballskills and at least ply a better trade oversea.
He affirmed that, as an Academy they have decided to bring in Football agents that can push Football and they want to give an opportunity to all Sierra Leoneans who have Football knowledge to know why the agents are in Sierra Leone and to brief the Public on their mission in the Country.
Peter Smith one of the agent from Belgium said their mission is to help Star Sports and the young players in Sierra Leone, because Youth are the power of Football in any developing nation, noting their visits will definitely bring out many Football skills from the many young and talented Sierra Leonean players as the Country has been long producing interesting Football players.
He further that, Football clubs and Academies that wish to bring out the best of their players should grab the exceptional opportunity as the collective strength of Football clubs and Academies will facilitate a smooth knowledge sharing and learning session.
Bevan Dicks one the agent of Antalyaspor JMP and also from South Africa said he has been helping young players over the years and hoping to do the same in Sierra Leone which has been happening here for some time, but he and his colleagues hoping for the better with Sierra Leonean players.
The Football Detection Tournament is for players with the ages of 15, 17 and 19 years and it basically to help them break through in European clubs and the Football Detection Tournament will commence from the 4th to 10th August 2023 both in Freetown and Makeni respectively.
