21 years old Santigie Kamara a Labourer, 22 years old Lamin Kamara a builder and 26 years old Abu Bakarr Koroma a Masoner made their first appearance before Magistrate Peter Brima Gogra of Pademba road court No.6 in Freetown on a count of Being found at the place used for smoking cannabis sativa contrary to section 49 (1) of the pharmacy and drugs Act of 2001.
According to the particulars of offence on Thursday 20th July 2023 at Hill station the mountain rural district the western area in Freetown were found at the place used for smoking cannabis sativa and Indian hemp to wit Kush.
All three accused persons pleaded guilty to the charge read in court.
The prosecutor Deputy Superintendent of police Marie Sesay told the court that there are no available records against the accused persons.
The accused persons was legally unrepresented, therefore, they pleaded with the court to temper justice with mercy.
Magistrate Gogra due to the plea mitigation by the accused persons he sentence each accused persons to one week’s imprisonment to the male correctional center in Freetown.
