Musician ‘King Big Fish’ Sent To Mental Home

39 years old Foday Allieu Alias King Big Fish a Musician, businessman made his first appearance before Magistrate Mark Ngegba of Pademba road court No.1 in Freetown on two count charges to wit Carrying offensive weapon without lawful authority or reasonable excuse contrary to section 16 (1) of the Public Order Act No.46 of 1965 and disorderly behavior contrary to section 12 of the public order Act No.46 of 1965 as amended by Section 12 (a) of Act No.15 of 1973.

According to the particulars of the offence on the 10th of July 2024 at Gloucester Street the western area of Freetown Carrying an offensive weapon in a public place to wit machetes (cutlass) without lawful authority or reasonable excuse and on count two at the same place and date the accused person did behave in a disorderly manner.

According to the police charge sheet, the accused person at about 10:20 hours Alusine Kpaka and others were arrested and brought in the accused person on the above date at the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Immigration Building, Gloucester Street Freetown for Carrying an offensive weapon.  

When the charges were read to the accused person and explained, he pleaded not guilty on both counts.  

The accused person in an open court told the magistrate that he is a king of music and he must have an office at the said ministry.  

Magistrate Mark Ngeba ordered that the accused person be taken to a mental home for a month and adjourned the matter to the 14th of August 2023 for further hearing, while Inspector Sellu Tap is prosecuting the matter.
