Ahead of the five Sierra Leone Football Association artificial turf Projects across five venues in the Country, the Edel Grass expert, Mark Jonkers paid a Courtesy visit to the Port Loko Mini Stadium ahead of the construction of the artificial Turf.
The visit is part of a site inspection ahead of the kick-start of the project at the Port Loko Stadium. It could be recalled that the outgoing president of the Sierra Leone Football Association Madam Isha Johansen launched this project at the Bintumani Hotel wherein five playing venues will be benefactors of artificial turf installations.
The FIFA accredited Contractor, Mark Jonkers is the head of the Company Edel Grass based in Holland, Mark and the Stakeholders of Port Loko did a feasibility assessment for the construction of the Artificial Turf, Perimeter fence, and Flood light system for the Stadium.
The President of the Sierra Leone Football Association Thomas Daddy Brima said in the Ordinary Congress that the five Artificial projects will kick-Off in August and are set to be completed in 2024; adding that the projects are FIFA Funded projects to develop Football across the Country.
The Northwest Region has seen these as a landmark achievement to the Football development within the region as it has been the cry by the Fans to get a standard playing venue within the Region.
