Sampha Mansaray and Abdul Conteh are before Magistrate Sahr Keikura of Pademba Road Court in Freetown on two count charges to wit Conspiracy to Defraud contrary to law; and Obtaining money by false pretenses contrary to section 32 (10 of the Larceny Act of 1916.
According to the charge sheet on the 17th March 2021 at No. 31b Leah Street in Freetown, the accused conspired together with other persons unknown to defraud Simeon Sesay the sum of twenty five million Leones (Le 25, 000, 000, 00).
The charges was read and explained to both accused persons and they pleaded guilty. Magistrate Sahr Keikura sent both accused persons to prison for recorded sentence.
Inspector Marie Sesay prosecuted the matter that has been adjourned 1st April 2021.
