The no-run-off message of the Sierra Leone People’s Party continues to be spread across Sierra Leone. Last weekend, in the southern province, Kortumahun village, Bo district the PRA boss, Brima Baluwa Koroma visited his people to propagate the message of hope and developments of President Bio in the country.
In his keynote address, Brima Baluwa Koroma told the gathering that he “was sent by President Bio to deliver 25 bags of rice, gallons of cooking oil, other cooking condiments and campaign t-shirts. He gave them cash per tradition as a token of greetings.
He went on to that he is not helping his people in order to become an MP, Mayor or Minister. Rather, he reminded them of the importance of free quality education to build the human capital in the country. Baluwa Koroma thanked the chief for instilling discipline in him when he was a schoolboy. And called on his people to always stay united.
“He reminded me of the market base he built in Bo at Shelmingo and the Ataya base he built in his father’s home town. That petroleum products would have been sold for Le27 but rather people are buying it at Le. 21.5 which is a big help from the government,” he said.
He was welcomed by traditional dancers in a mammoth crowd who were very happy to receive him. They danced, ate and had a good time together. The reception ceremony was hosted in the village’s court barray and chaired by Mark Luseni. The youths, women’s group and elders were full of praise for Baluwa and in full support of the SLPP party.
Chief Joseph Moinina Luseni in his welcome address expressed gratitude to Baluwa for the visit. There were warm felicitations from the youth and women’s leaders as they all pledged their full support for Maada Bio and the SLPP party.
It was joyous and full of traditional dancing and was climaxed by a vote of thanks given by Mamie Ibrahim.
