FC Kallon Appoints Ibrahim Kanu As Club CEO

FC Kallon Football Club has on 7th June 2023 appointed Ibrahim Kanu to serve as the Secretary General of the Club.

The Letter from the club, reads,” It has pleased the Management of FC Kallon to appoint Ibrahim Kanu as the Secretary General of the club with immediate effects.”

His appointment came as a result of his hard work for the club over the years, he has been acting as the Assistant Secretary-General under Alhaji Komba who has been in that position all these years but resigned from his post due to some other activities.

Tunde Scott the General Manager of the club said as a club they are happy to appoint Kanu to this position with the belief that he will deliver in such a capacity for the Club. He said as one of the big clubs in the country needs a vibrant personality who can help in the transformation process of the club.

Ibrahim Kanu the newly appointed Scribe expressed excitement about being appointed as the Secretary of the Club, and thank the club for giving him the trust to serve in such a capacity, noting that he has been learning from the outgoing Scribe in the person of Alhaji Komba who he said taught him a lot behind the scenes and send a special thanks to him.

He affirmed that “l am ready to serve in one of the big clubs in the Country, a club I have played a pivotal role from the Fan Club level and now to the Secretary-General position. Am ready to work by the mandate of the club and hold the trust of the Club at all times.”

 He further that the club spots his hard work from the Fan Club level where he has played a great role in organizing the Fans of the club ahead of match day and before the match day.

Below is the key mandate he will be performing as Scribe of the Club.

1. To handle and coordinate all club administration functions.

2. Acknowledge, and send out a Correspondent in consultation with General Manager, other top management Staff

3. To collaborate with the club administrative Secretary, Technical Team, and players when the need arises.

4. To organize and facilitate programs, and events, with the club, and to record and maintain files incoming and outgoing.

FC Kallon Football Club is presently in the second position in the ongoing Sierra Leone Premier League and has lifted the league way back in 2005/06 season and has participated in Africa Confederation Cup three times.
