In His Campaign Message…Pres. Bio Reassures Food Sufficiency For Citizens

As part of his flagship programme under the 2023 People’s Manifesto, President Bio has assured the people of Kalaba Town, Wellington and Kissy of Food sufficiency as his next government would be engaged in massive agricultural activities.

He further admonished them to choose between a dignified and truthful leadership as opposed to APC who had misappropriated public funds during their 11yrs reign. He reminded the people that APC squandered the Ebola funds and allow citizens to die during the outbreak. He also said for the past 11 years under the opposition; Sierra Leonean knows nothing but lies. 

President told the people that the August 10th civil unrest which led to the death of innocent citizens and police officers was orchestrated by top hierarchy within the All People’s Congress Party (APC).

He described the opposition party as a bunch of thieves looking for an opportunity to crabbed the seat of power in his absence. He enlightens the people to be wise and choose wisely because the SLPP is ready to govern and give its citizens better and more responsible leadership. 

He advised the people never to allow such politicians to insight them against their country because, in the end, they will have themselves to blame.

“The APC is not good for themselves neither for this country and we should never allow them closer to the seat of power,” he said.

He added that five years ago, he won the election to serve as President of Sierra Leone and his administration has done tremendous development for the people which includes free Quality Education and women’s empowerment to name a few. He said he had fulfilled the pledge he made during his 2018 campaign and those pledges have been accomplished.

“Today Sierra Leone is not known for corruption but for the greatest fight against corruption; it is also regarded as a champion for women’s empowerment and gender equality. Today, Sierra Leone is known for education, and human capital development and Sierra Leone has been recognized internationally,” he admonished.

He called on all Sierra Leoneans to be proud of themselves because together they are championing the fight against corruption and bad governance.

President further throws light on the health sector. He admonished the people that before now, the life expectancy of Sierra Leone was tagged around 53%. In less than five years, he said that has improved to 61%. Whereas, Maternal mortality rate has been reduced to 60% under his regime.

He called on the people of Freetown to choose truth over lies. President Bio called on the people of Freetown to vote for Mohamed Gento Kamara as Mayor of Freetown.  He urged the youth to embrace the vocational skills development which his 2023 Manifesto prioritize. He said his New Direction administration had done tremendously well towards education which made the UN Secretary-General call on him and the Co-chair of the Transform Education Summit.

He added that through his effort towards education, his Minister of Education was awarded the best Minister of Education across the world. He said during the days of the APC administration, the APC was termed the most corrupt government in Africa. He added because of his tremendous effort towards the fight against such menace-Sierra Leone has been recognized internationally.

First Lady Madam Fatima Bio, said President Bio has given dignity to that of Dr Samura Kamara who has promised to reduce the dignity of the women. She said women are not commodities but rather priceless jewels that are worth respecting.

Whereas, Dr Prince Harding said the visit of President Bio is to say thank you to the people of Freetown and equally ask them to vote for him for the second term so that he could continue the good work he had started. He called on the people to equally vote for Major Gento Kamara and all Aspiring Members of Parliament under the ticket of the SLPP.

While the awaiting Mayor Mohamed Gento Kamara said they visited Calaba Town in order to support President Bio’s re-election. He said it is only the SLPP Party that believes in Human Capital Development which was the more reason he introduced Free Education.

He said ‘Freetonians’ appreciates the Free Quality Education. He, therefore, called on the people of Freetown to pay President Bio back for the Free Quality Education and for many other developmental ventures, his administration had embarked on. He added that President Bio intends to further transform Freetown which was the more reason he chooses him to run for the seat of Mayor of Freetown City. He disclosed that the former Mayor was given a colossal sum of money to transform Freetown but she embezzled those funds.
