Le90 Million Land Fraud:Surveyor Pleads Guilty

Samuel Dominic Jacobs a surveyor of No. 21 old Adonkia road, Juba, Freetown, has on Wednesday 17th May 2023, pleaded guilty of squandering ninety million Leones for land.

The accused appear before Magistrate Isata Sellu Tucker of Court No 2, Pademba Road, Freetown, on a count of obtaining money by false pretenses contrary to Section 32 (1) of the Larceny Act 1916.

According to the charge sheet, the accused Samuel Dominic Jacobs on Wednesday 1st may 2023, at No. 2 River, Freetown, with intent to defraud obtained the sum of ninety million Leones from Aminata Janneh Tamu with the pretext that he has two town lot of land for sale at No. 2 River, Freetown, which is known to be false.

In her ruling, Magistrate Isata Sellu Tucker sentence the accused to a year imprisonment or to pay the complainant the money.

The convict has already paid twenty million Leones and the remaining must be paid within a month.
