Business Man Sent To High Court For Cyber Bullying

46 years old business man Abdul Rahman Bangur, appeared  before magistrate Mark Ngegba of Court No 1 Pademba Road Freetown, on two count charges.

 Statement of offence: cyber stalking and cyber bullying – contrary to section 44(2)(a) of the Cyber security and crime Act, 2021, Act No.7 of 2021.

Police alleged that on Monday 16th of  May 2022 through social media via WhatsApp and Facebook in  Freetown, the accused intentionally Sent an obscene Messages against BINTU MANSARAY by means of a computer system with intent to provoke her to commit the breach of the peace.

Count 2 stated on the same date through social media via WhatsApp and Facebook in Freetown, did send  an  obscene Messages against BINTU MANSARAY for the purpose of causing annoyance inconvenience and damage her character by means of a computer system with intent to provoke her to commit the breach of peace.

The accused was unrepresented and Magistrate Mark Ngegba committed the matter to High Court for trial.
