FC Kallon Football Club Supporters have in a Press Release dated 4th May 2023 stated that they are going to stay off the BO Mimi Stadium for the BO Rangers match VS FC Kallon match scheduled for Sunday the 7th May 2023 in BO the Southern District of the Country.
According to the Press Release the decision was unanimously agreed upon at a general meeting held as Supporters result of the repeated hostility, aggression and desperation displayed by the BO Rangers Fans against them during the last meetings.
The Press Release forward that noticeable of the three was last season fixtures in BO, where they were brutally tortured and detained. Also the team bus was vandalized. As a Club with huge brand image to portray and protected their expectation is to see the beautiful game of Football play under a Friendly and peaceful atmosphere. Their Primary objectives are protecting the Valuable Supporters and ensure that they are safe to cheer their darling FC Kallon on every match.
The Release furthered that, sources on the ground from colleague Supporters are telling them that they are currently under serious threat and intimidation ahead of Sunday clash fixtures. They are Scared to go to the Stadium for the match, especially in their FC Kallon wears. Therefore they have asked all Supporters to stay at home for the sake of peace.
Therefore, they are calling on the attention of the Sierra Leone Premier League Board and other Football Stakeholders on this matter.
As the Club want to distance itself from any act of Season violence in Football. As for them for this year’s league is “Football for Peace and National Cohesion”.
