Theophilus Anderson a technician was on Thursday 4th May 2023 sent on remand by magistrate Santigie Bangura of Pademba road court No3 for an alleged $500 US dollar theft.
The accused who made his first appearance in court and was arraigned on one count charge of larceny contrary to section 2 of the larceny act 1916.
According to the charges, the accused Theophilus Anderson on Thursday 27th April 2023, in Freetown did steal five hundred united states dollars equivalent to eleven thousand six hundred new Leones (Nle11,600) property of Mohamed Bangura.
When the charge was read to him, he pleaded not guilty.
No legal representation was made on his behalf in court.
Magistrate Bangura however refused bail and remanded the accused in prison, whiles the matter was adjourned to the 12th May 2023 for further hearing.
Chief Inspector Francis Macauley is prosecuting the matter.
