After ending their fourteen years of absence in the Sierra Leone Premier League, Chairman Alhaji Umar Bah under his leadership continues the quest for Real Republicans Football Club to be an enviable one again as he has purchased a 35-seater bus for the team
Real Republicans FC is one of the oldest and most successful football clubs in Sierra Leone, three times champions of the top-flight league which the club achieved within four years the first being in 1981, before lifting the title two times consecutively in 1983 and 1984.
Also it has reached the second rounds of the CAF Cup Winners’ Cup now referred to as the CAF Confederation Cup on two occasions in 1981, and 1988.
Chairman Alhaji Umar Bah said that the 35-seater bus which transports the team to Kenema last weekend to honor the match against Kamboi Eagles Football Club is purchased to facilitate the movement of the team “It sanitized the transportation atmosphere for the club and facilitates easy movements” he disclosed.
He acknowledged the support Real Republicans FC has been receiving from its fans, however he further called on them to take more ownership of the club “We appreciate their support so far and we encourage them to give more support to the club” Chairman Bah remarked.
The Soccer Ambassadors currently sit in the 13th position on the league with 23 points in twenty outings and are set to host Luawa Football Club this weekend on Saturday, 29th April 2023 at the Angola field.
