Thirty two years old Hassan Sannoh the Executive Director of Advocate free Quality Education Office situated at No.1 Upper Tengbeh Town Freetown made his first appearance on Bench warrant before Magistrate Mark Ngegba of Pademba road court No.1 in Freetown on two count charges to wit Forgery of Document contrary to section 4 (1) of the Forgery Act of 1913 and Uttering Forged document contrary to section 6 (1) (2) of the Forgery Act 1913.
According to the particulars of offence on Monday 20th February 2023 at No.20 New Signal Hill the western area in Freetown with intent to defraud Forged certain document to with office of the first Lady H.E Fatima Bio.
On count two at the same place and date the accused person with intent to defraud, forged certain documents to wit office of the first Lady H.E Fatima Maada Bio sponsorship for president Bio’s book lunch dated 10th February 2023 in the name of Hassan Sannoh knowing same to be false.
The charges were read and explained to the accused person No plea taken.
The prosecutor Inspector Kadie M Taylor informed the court that her witness is absent she seek for a short adjournment date.
Counsel representing the accused person Abdul Karim Koroma Esq applied for bail for and on behalf of the accused person that he is an Author.
He has written several books.
He will not interfere with prosecution witness or witnesses nor will he jumped bail.
He has credible sureties who are willing and ready to go into recognizance on his behalf he made his application pursuant to section 79 2 of the Criminal procedure Act No.32 of 1965.
Meanwhile, Magistrate Ngegba granted the accused person bail in the sum of one hundred thousand Leones with two sureties in like sum.
Sureties to be employed and both should produce the newly voters identity card.
Bail to be approved by the Master and registrar matter adjourned to the 12th May 2023 inspector Kadie M Taylor Prosecuting the matter.
