Residents of the Sand Sand Ground Community, located at Fisheries, Kissy Dock Yard, on Monday 17th April 2023, benefited from the visit of a combined team of CRD, FSU, LPPB, and the Operations’ Officer of the Kissy Dock Yard Police Post, with key messages that focused on election-related offences, child abuse, drug abuse, and non-violence campaign.
Addressing the multitudes, the sensitization team urged the people not to engage in any political violence, banner tearing, Kush smoking, or domestic violence against women and children, but rather to be tolerant and live as one family even after elections.
Chairman Alimamy Bangura and Sorie Conteh, representing United Boat Owners Association thanked the police for reaching out to their community on this awareness-raising sensitization campaign. They also promised to spread the message to others for all to benefit.
