Big Zed is a household name when it comes to local politics in the New England Ville, Dwarzark, and Sumaila towns communities. He has facilitated a lot of projects within the Dwarzark and New England ville communities.
After he was declared winner of the elections, Saidu Turay, thanked God for the opportunities the people of his communities had granted him to serve as their coordinator for the June 24 Multi general election.
Mr Turay said the journey has not been easy for him over the past years. In 2017, he said he was an aspirant for the same position but was not fortunate to win.
He said the 2018 election gave him so much courage to run for the second time that he emerged winner of the primary, noting that with what he has done for the community he deserves to emerge the winner.
He added that since the APC lost the election in 2018, he has been supporting the party in so many activities, ranging from participating in all the local elections across the country, and mobilizing community stakeholders in meetings to be in the interest of the party.
He continued that he was part of the entire Ward, Districts, and the national delegate’s conference elections, noting that he is a member of the Task Force of the APC party.
Mr Turay said his victory in the Ward, and community executive contest is not a mistake because his work in the party has spoken a lot for itself, and said he will continue to preach the good work of the APC party at all times.
He encouraged his opponents to support him so the party will be at the State House come June 24th 2023 general elections. He thanked everyone for the support that they gave him during the course of his campaign.
