Missing of FBC Lecturer…Cyber Unit Detains Fisherman

The Cyber unit at the Waterloo Police Station is currently having in its custody one fisherman from Fobgbo and youth in Lumpa who according to the investigation, were the last people to communicate with Kabba Santigie Bangura, a Geography Lecturer at the Fourah Bay College (FBC), University of Sierra Leone.

The Media Officer at the Waterloo Police Station, ASP Allieu Jalloh said the suspects namely; Abu Fullah, aged 46, who happens to be a fisherman at Fobgbo village and Saidu Sesay of 34 Main Motor Road, Lumpa, Waterloo was surprised to learn that the police got hold of their conversations with the missing lecturer.

He said he is not going into the details of the conversations traced since the matter is under investigation. He noted that their Cyber Unit traced the last calls Mr Bangura had before his missing a month ago and found out that he indeed communicated with the two suspects, as for the fisherman, his top-up got finished but recalled the missing lecturer to continue their conversation.

“What we are investigating is to establish whether their hands are on the reported disappearance or not”, ASP Jalloh intimated this medium, adding that a full-scale covert operation is being launched to find out the whereabouts of Mr Bangura”.

He called on members of the public, especially those residing in Waterloo to continue cooperating with them to crack down on crime in the district.

It could be recalled that Kabba Santigie Bangura was last seen in public on 6th March 2023 since then nothing is known about his whereabouts, not even his students who are missing his class incrementally.
