The Inspector General of the Sierra Leone police Mr. William Fayia Sellu has pledged to improving security Network including the general safety of the people of Bonthe and Sierra Leoneans as a whole.
The IGP made the pronouncement when disclosing his support towards the construction project of the newly built police station in Bonthe Island southern region.
Meanwhile, it is owing to the aforementioned development Sierra Leoneans especially those in Bonthe have applauded the effective leadership qualities of the first gentleman of the Sierra Leone police which over the years since he assumed office as the IGP, the SLP has recorded unprecedented improvements particularly with regard to human Rights compliance, discipline, welfare and infrastructural transformation to name but a few.
Chief superintendent of police Mr Augustine Kabbia is the local unit commander Bonthe division when responding to the aforementioned sentiments expressed by the people of Bonthe district and the intervention of his boss (IGP) he foremost expressed satisfaction for the recent policing strategies improved human relationships and sterling leadership qualities of IGP Sellu.
CSP Kabbia further delivered the following items as support to the said infrastructural development: Twenty-nine chairs, six benches and flag poles among many others. He thanked the IGP for his good leadership which has in no doubt maintained the glory of the SLP.
The community people of Bonthe Island in the similar vein commended LUC Kabbia for epitomizing the laudable leadership qualities of his boss IGP and expressed happiness to seeing a new police station erected which will guarantee the safety and security of them (people).
“The fight against crime (s) has been a collaborative effort and we have had no major crime(s) since we received LUC Kabbia in Bonthe,” said the community people. The newly built police station will be open for use this April.
