Trader Remanded For Mobile Phone Theft

Twenty years old Samuel Banya a Trader made his first appearance before Magistrate Santigie Bangura of Pademba road court No.3 in Freetown on a count of Larceny contrary to section 2 of the Larceny Act 1916.

According to the particulars of offence on Tuesday 28th March 2023 at JSO langunda Wilberforce Barracks the western area in Freetown Stole one Tecno Spark 9 mobile phone valued two thousand nine hundred Leones (2,900) one Samsung galaxy note 8 mobile phone valued ten thousand Leones(10,000) and a physical cash of nine hundred Leones(900) all to the total value of thirteen thousand eight hundred Leones (13,800) property of Mariama Johnny Sesay.

The charge was read and explained to the accused person and he pleaded not guilty.

The prosecutor Inspector Francis Macauley told the bench that his witness is present and he didn’t get proper conference with her.

Meanwhile Magistrate Bangura refused bail and sent the accused person to the male correctional center in Freetown matter adjourned to the 7th April 2023
