The Pharmaceutical Society of Sierra Leone (PSSL) has clarified to this medium that Hassan Kanu who was accused of allegedly penetrating an underaged girl in Kono district is not a pharmacist and has never been a member of the association but a proprietor of an outlet named Malal Enterprise.
This medium on the 16th March 2023 published a story with the caption “Pharmacist penetrated Underaged Girl in Kono” this necessitated prompt investigation by the PSSL and A-Z newspaper. Both findings read that the above-alleged perpetrator is not a professional pharmacist but has been running a pharmacy in Koquima in the Koidu city Kono district for almost two decades.
Again, A-Z provincial reporter in Kono was misinformed by the family support unit Line manager at the Motema Police Divisional headquarters in Nimikoro chiefdom Kono district Assistant superintendent of police Sahr Samuel Jimmy that the said Hassan Kanu identify himself as a pharmacist.
Therefore, PSSL has made it clear that Hassan Kanu who was alleged to have penetrated an 11yrs-old girl in Kono district is not a pharmacy professional, and the said matter has been charged to court.
