40yrs old Hassanatu Bangura a stone miner made her first appearance before Magistrate Sahr Keikura in Freetown on the 23rd March. She is arraigned on three count charges ranging from wounding with intent contrary to section 18 of the offence against the person Act 1961, Wounding contrary to section 20 of the offence against the person Act 1861 and Assault occasioning actual bodily harm contrary section 47 of the offence against the person Act 1861.
According to the charge sheet on the 9th March 2021 at ‘Last Wata’ Upper Dwarzark in Freetown it was alleged that the accused wounded and assaulted one Mariatu Fullah with intent to cause her grievous bodily Harm.
The complainant was present in court but no plea was taken because she told the court that she received eighteen stitches on her left hand and that she is not feeling well at the moment. She claimed to have lost huge quantity of blood. Accused has been remanded at the Female Correctional Center in Freetown.
ASP Aminatu Daboh is prosecutin and the matter has been adjourned to the 30th March 2021.
