Her Excellency Francess Virginia Anderson (Mrs) has been branding the image of her Mother Land in her diplomat assigned countries-Ghana, Togo and Burkina Faso. In the maiden edition of Sierra Leone High Commission Newsletter published earlier this year, Ambassador Anderson continued to inform the Sierra Leonean populace both in Ghana, Togo, Burkina Faso and Sierra Leone especially on the strides made by His Excellency President Dr. Julius Maada Bio as he stays committed to delivering on all his promises.

In her aspiration to rebrand Sierra Leone, her avowed aim is that Sierra Leone should be seen as a new ground for investment destination in areas such as agriculture, tourism, mining, energy, infrastructure, etc.

Consequently, she is on course to identify and engage with governments and business entities abroad for the purpose of encouraging and promoting mutually beneficial and sustainable foreign direct investment in Sierra Leone.

The newsletter is changing the political and social narratives of the native land, a nation that values democratic rights, protects civil liberties and the rule of law, and promotes peaceful coexistence.

Other issues covered in the newsletter have to do with strengthening bilateral ties and cooperation between Sierra Leone and the rest of the world. The emphasis in this direction is on countries under her diplomatic charge Ghana, Togo, Burkina Faso.

Space has also been provided for other pertinent topics showcasing Sierra Leonean values and policy direction including gender reflecting women socio-economic and political empowerment and participation dreams, and also promoting human capacity development through education, innovation and investment in health, as well as job creation.

She also captures issues around peace building and climate change, among other global sensitive imperatives.
