30yrs-old Michael Smith a Building contractor made another appearance before Magistrate Alpha Rashid Jalloh of Pademba Road Court No.4 in Freetown on one count charge to wit Larceny contrary to section 2 of the Larceny Act 1916
According to the particulars of offence on Monday 6th March 2023 at Hennessey Street New England Ville the western area in Freetown Stole one Hawai mobile phone valued one thousand seven hundred Leones (1,700) property of Aminata Kargbo.
The charge was read and explained to the accused person and he pleaded guilty.
The accused person was unrepresented and he pleaded with the court to temper justice with mercy.
Magistrate Jalloh said the accused person is therefore found guilty pursuant to the provision of section 78 of the Criminal procedure Act No.32 of 1965 he sentenced the accused person to twelve months imprisonment with no alternative. Deputy Superintendent of police Moses Moore prosecuted the matter.
