29yrs old Sheriff Turay a security Guard and 53yrs old Nyambay Saidu a business woman made his first appearance before Magistrate Peter Brima Gogra of Pademba road court No.6 in Freetown on two count charges to wit Larceny contrary to section 2 of the Larceny Act 1916 and Receiving stolen goods contrary to section 33 (1) of the Larceny Act 1916.
According to the particulars of offence sometimes in February 2023 at 28th Fudia Terrace Spur loop Wilberforce the western area in Freetown did steal one white and grey colour electric iron value one thousand one hundred Leones (1,100,00) one scooter Value eight hundred Leones(800,00) and one white hog foot rubber container valued three hundred and fifty Leones(350,00) all to the total value of two thousand two hundred and fifty Leones(2,250) properties of Aaron Hale.
On count two the second accused person on the above place and date did receive one hogfoot rubber container value three hundred and fifty Leones (350,00) property of Aaron Hale knowing same to have been stolen
The charges were read and explained to the first accused person and he pleaded not guilty.
The prosecutor Inspector M. Kamara applied for bench warrant against the second accused person and he told the court that his witness is present but he didn’t have proper conference with him.
Meanwhile, Magistrate Gogra refused bail and sent the accused person to the male correctional center in Freetown matter adjourned to 16th March for further hearing.
