The Chairman of the Bo District Council Munda Bindi, has on the 28th of February 2023, called a development meeting with Development partners, MDAs and paramount chiefs who fall within the Bo District Council. The meeting was initiated and funded by the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development.
In his opening statement, outgoing chairman of the Bo District Council Munda Bindi intimated the gathering that he called the meeting in order to follow the ultimatum date of March 1 given to them by government and to leave a lasting impression on the various partners in the district “. He told them that he would be following up on their respective activities as a senior citizen. The various partners presented key interventions, successes and challenges they faced. Before their respective presentations, the outgoing chairman reminded them of the theme of the final meeting which is “Local Ownership For Improved Service Delivery”. Critical questions were asked after every presentation and clarity was made. Minutes of the last coordinating meeting was read and after corrections it was adopted. It was reported that Paul School for the blind still faced infighting between the proprietors and the administration. It was also disclosed that the three schools should take the WASSCE exam shortly but names of candidates have not been uploaded to the portal. F G Gold mining company in their presentation brought to the attention of partners that government needs to amend some laws to be in tune with current trends. After effective deliberations, the meeting was moved to be adjourned by councilor Abubakar which was seconded by IEC, Bo district council.
