More than four people are in Police Custody at the Tankoro Police Divisional Headquarters in Koidu City Kono District following the killing of a class six pupil of the God is our Light primary School in Koidu City and formerly of Tankoro camp Koidu City Kono District aged fourteen (14) years. Talking to this medium an eye witness Sia Kugbana of the same aforementioned address noted that prior to an altercation on Thursday 23rd, February 2023 between the deceased Edith Sia Lebbie and the alleged Murderer identified as Lucy. The perpetrator sent the deceased to collect twenty thousand old Leones from her mother to buy Kush for her noting it was during the process the alleged murderer Lucy accused the deceased of dating her boyfriend and threatened to teach the deceased an untold lesson as she was the first person to date the said boyfriend. According to the eye witness the deceased haven heard from the alleged murderer Lucy she did not say a word and continued what she was doing. Sia Kugbana the eye witness further maintained that later at night on the aforementioned day the alleged perpetrator Lucy asked the deceased to accompany her to a social complex opera in Koidu city. She noted that whilst the deceased was on her way to accompany the alleged killer she advised her strictly not to follow her owing to the altercation between them that resulted to Lucy threatening to teach Edith Sia Lebbie an untold lesson noting the deceased did not yield to her advice and both of them left until the remains of the deceased was found laid at a hand dug Pump at the Tankoro Camp in Koidu city Kono District.
Meanwhile, family sources of the deceased say a superficial postmortem examination on the remains of the deceased by the medical superintendent of the Koidu Government Hospital Dr. Daniel Lavalie states that the deceased did not die a natural death. She was tortured to death, her skull and neck were broken and blood oozed in her brain.
The deceased whilst at the mortuary was still bleeding. However, her remains have not been handed over to her family members for burial. Up to press time the alleged Killer Lucy who initially took to her heels is reported to have been arrested and placed in police custody helping them with their investigation.
