NEMS Donates Ambulance To Sierra Leone Road Safety Authority

The National Emergency Medical Service (NEMS) on 16th February 2023 donated an ambulance to the Sierra Leone Road Safety Authority (SLRSA).

According to the Chief Executive Officer of NEMS, Mr. Abdul Wurie said, ‘ NEMS is happy to work with SLRSA to achieve a common goal, and that the SLRSA are doing excellent work ensuring that roads are safe for vehicles and pedestrians.”

The CEO, however, said he hopes NEMS ambulances would be used for their intended purposes.

While, the  Executive Director of Sierra Leone Road Safety Authority (SLRSA), Mr Smart Senesie, expressed his appreciation to the NEMS team for such a gesture. He added that the SLRSA gesture would help in the high-will management program of SLRSA.

The Executive Director further reveals that the ambulance would aid in the process of saving the lives of Sierra Leonean, especially during critical situations such as road accidents.

Mr. Senesie noted that the donation is timely to his institution and that the ambulance will be used in their upcoming trip to Mile 91 as it would aid their mission.

He assured that the SLRSA would continue to collaborate with NEMS and that the intended purpose of the ambulance would be served.
