Mohamed Gento Kamara, the hopeful Mayoral aspirant under the ticket of the ruling Sierra Leone People’s Party, has started converting one-time enemies of President Bio into die hard supporters of President Bio by providing them with livelihoods and logistical supports.
Gibril Bangura, one of the antagonists of President Bio and who was used to using motherly invectives on President Bio, has been transformed as a campaign strategist for the re-election of President Bio and Gento as Mayor of the Freetown City Council.
Gibril Bangura was among the beneficiaries of Gento’s generosity of which he benefited from two tricycles from Mohamed Gento Kamara. He expressed profound thanks and appreciation to Gento for providing two brand new tricycles for cleaning the Portee Community. He said before this time, there was no job for him and few of his colleagues. He added that with the provision of the two tricycles by Gento, they are now engaged in cleaning the community.
Giving highlights of the contributions made by Mohamed Gento Kamara at the Portee Community, the Coordinator for Gento at Portee Brima Lane Community, Lauwa Lavalie said for far too long the community has been suffering from clean drinking water. He added that members of the community appealed to him to plead to Gento to rehabilitate their borehole water.
Lavalie further explained that immediately after such request was made, he instantaneously informed Gento about the plight of the people in his community. He said Le 15 million was provided for the rehabilitation of the borehole water supply at the community.
“Le 15 million was provided for the rehabilitation of the borehole water supply. He had also given over Le 30 million to the Portee Car Wash Community to buy equipment for washing cars” he highlighted.
Chairman of Jack-Pump Youth Organization, Brima Lane Car Wash, Gibrill Sesay, also expressed thanks and appreciation to Gento Kamara for his generosity and magnanimity. He also extended appreciation to President Bio’s Government for constructing the car wash for them. In addition, he said Gento Kamara has also recently given them Le 33 Million to buy water tank and other equipment to use for washing cars.
