S/Leoneans Will Re-Elect President Bio To Continue His Developments-SLPP Secretary General

In a Press Conference held at the Sierra Leone Association of Journalists Conference Hall, the Secretary General of the Sierra Leone People’ Party Umaru Napoleon Koroma, has yesterday the 7th of February 2023, assured galaxy of journalists that Sierra Leoneans are ready to re-elect President Bio to continue his Development agenda in the Free Quality Education, improve food security through massive investment in Agriculture, quality Healthcare delivery among others.

The National Secretary General of the SLPP recalled that when the SLPP took over governance,  they divided the Manifesto  into eight priorities. He added that they also divided the New Direction Manifesto into    into three components which include Education, Agriculture and Health under the Human Capital Development. He also disclosed that they vehemently focused on Education which laid the foundation blocks for other components.

According to Napoleon Koroma, he said President Bio is going to focus on Agriculture and food security. He stated that no nation can develop without the fundamental blocks are not laid.

He said in furtherance of the party’s commitment to internal democracy,  accountability and effective party management,  the Party  would  be having its 13th National Delegates Conference at the Bintumani Conference Centre, Freetown from the 8th to 9th February, 2023.  He disclosed that the theme of the Conference is : “Towards a Radical Transformation: Counting the Gains Since 2018”.

He said the objective of the delegates conference is to help the membership better appreciate the achievements of the SLPP-led Government since it assumed the reigns of power in 2018.

He noted that the conference will provide a platform for members to contribute to the Party’s Manifesto for the 2023 Elections.

The secretary general intimated that since their Party came to power in 2018, the resolved SLPP led Government has been investing in human capital development and building a progressive society that embraces every citizen’s aspiration.

He stated that despite the twin challenges of COVID-19 and the Russia-Ukraine war, the SLPP led government is proud of the achievements of His Excellency, President Julius Maada Bio who doubles as their Leader and Presidential Candidate for the June 24th multi-tier elections.

He maintained that the National Delegate`s Conference will provide an opportunity for His Excellency to reflect on the progress made and affirmed food security as his second-term priority.

Napoleon Koroma concluded by reassuring that the conference would demonstrate unity in the party. He said the 2023 election is about making a choice between a united, progressive and responsible party to that of a fragmented, unprogressive and irresponsible political parties.
