Francis Trevor Samura Chairman of the Sierra Leone Cricket Association Board of Directors has disclosed that the 80th Annual General Meeting initially scheduled for Saturday last Weekend has been rescheduled to take place two weeks later on Saturday, 18th February 2023.
Chairman Samura disclosed that the reason for the postponement is to ensure the full representation of both the Ministry of Sports and the National Sports Authority noting that the importance of every annual general meeting cannot be overemphasized
“This is to get the Ministry of Sports and NSA fully represented in the AGM where resolutions will be passed and decisions are taken that will be binding on all members of the Association” he revealed.
He added that the Association’s reviewed constitution, financial statement, and 2023 budget all will be adopted and approved
“All AGMs including this one are important because the reviewed constitution, audited financial statements will be adopted, and the approval of the 2023 budget” Chairman Francis Trevor Samura asserted.
The Sierra Leone Cricket Association Chairman Board of Directors further confirmed that a new Vice Chairman will be elected to fill the vacuum left by Martin Michael following his resignation last year, and the appointment of 2023 Auditors, and the admission of new members will be conducted.
“A new Vice Chairman will be elected to fill the gap left in the Board as a result of the resignation of the former Vice Chairman, and admission of new members” he concluded.
