37yrs old Sanfa Conteh vehicle Sprayer made his first appearance before Magistrate Sahr Kekura of Ross Road Court No.1 in Freetown on two count charges to wit Conspiracy to commit a felony contrary to law and Larceny contrary to section 2 of the Larceny Act 1916.
According to the particulars of offence on Wednesday 4th January 2023 at Total Africanus Road Kissy the western Area in Freetown conspired together with other persons unknown to commit a crime to wit Larceny; on count two the accused person at the same place and date did steal as a Bailee Benz Truck vehicle with registration number AZZ861 wind screen value five thousand two hundred Leones (5,200) new Leones entrusted to him by Idrissa Bangura for repairs, property of Idrissa Bangura.
The charges were read and explained to the accused person and he pleaded not guilty.
Police sergeant 9874 Turay M.M told the bench that her witness was absent and requested a short adjournment date.
Magistrate Kekura granted the accused person bail in the sum of fifty thousand Leones or one surety in like sum surety must be gainfully employed from a recognized institution the surety should produce either his or her employment letter or identity card of the said institution the surety should be resident in Freetown and should produce his or her identity card depicting his or her addresses in Freetown bail to be approved by the Deputy Assistant Registrar.
The matter was adjourned to the 9th of February 2023 for further hearing.
