The Sierra Leone Police has on Tuesday 31st January, 2023 in a press conference declared Q-NET Enterprise as a criminal and deceptive entity.
Following the activities of the enterprise over the years, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Brima Kamara disclosed that the police have been inundated with reports of fraudulent and deceitful activities undertaken by Q-NET.
ACP Brima added that the Sierra Leone Police has a dossier of cases reported against their activities which has necessitated them to declare the entity as a criminal enterprise.
ACP Brima intimated that the said entity had been registered with the Sierra Leone Police and other relevant institutions in the country with a motive other than their present operations. He explained that the entity now use online programs and travelling in many deceptive forms as a way to dupe people.
The Assistant Commissioner of Police strongly assured that the SLP is on course to track the said enterprise everywhere in the country. He said that it doesn’t matter wherever the entity had also registered, but made a clear cut that if it doesn’t stop it operations the SLP will go robustly go after them.
Assistant Inspector General of Police, AIG Mohamed A. Briama Jah called on members of the general public to disassociate themselves from the activities of Q-NET.
