Greek Super League 2 side Aigaleo FC Athens has completed the signing of defensive midfielder John Kamara on a short-term contract until the end of the Season.

Kamara, 34, last played for the Romanian side FC Politehnica, and has been handed a new opportunity as he return to Greek Football Federation.

Eleven years ago the Sierra Leone international played for his first Greek club Apollon Smyrni, where he made 45 appearances in all competitions before he moved to Lamia ahead of the 2014/2015 season.

Aigaleo FC Athens will be his fourth trading club with South-Eastern Europe and his tenth Professional club since 2008 when he first joins Tadamon Sour. The former Riga and Kaysar defensive midfielder admitted his delight after he penned the deal.

“I’ m delighted to be back in Greece and cannot wait to get started. I am pleased to start a new chapter with my new teammates and as always ready to help the club.” Kamara said after completing the move.

John Kamara was part of John Keister’s squad for the last edition of the Africa Cup Nations hosted in Cameroon and was very instrumental in the qualifying stages.
