At least two men Abubakarr Kamara and Sorie Suma A.K.A Soso Boy are in police net at the Kambia police division for carting away with at least three thousand two hundred and forty six exercise books of the Government of Sierra Leone Free Quality School Education programme on the 12th of January 2023.
A-Z discovered that the two alleged thieves were intercepted around the Balamuya custom bypass on Kalagban road by a police patrol team headed by sub-inspector Abu Kamara who were onboard a police vehicle with registration number SLP 214.
It was later confirmed that the two alleged thieves were intercepted in a delivering vehicle with registration number AOL 013 in control of Abubakarr Kamara together with the said vehicle conductor Sorie Suma AKA Soso Boy all of Kambia District.
According to police sources after the vehicle in question was intercepted the police mounted a search noting it was during the said search that the aforementioned three thousand two hundred and forty six exercise books of the government of Sierra Leone Free Quality School Education programme with the inscription not for sale were found and the vehicle was later impounded at the Kambia Police Division.
Meanwhile, during police investigation one of the alleged thieves noted that they were travelling with the books to neighboring Guinea for business purpose. The driver in control of the said vehicle where the books were found has denied knowledge of the books noting he was only aware of the other loads on boarded his vehicle and not the books.
Police investigation into the matter continues.
