Police at the criminal investigations department at the Motema police divisional Headquarters in Nimikoro chiefdom Kono District are frantically investigating an alleged case of suicide involving a twenty five year old man Komba Mattia formerly of Koakoyima town in Koidu city Kono district.
The officer commanding of the Koakayima Police post at the Motema police division in Nimikoro chiefdom Kono district inspector Mohamed Joe Kanu told this medium that at around 12:30 hours on Thursday 12th January 2023 the deceased allegedly hung himself and subsequently died during the process.
He said few minutes upon hearing the incident a police team including the media officer of the aforementioned police division detective police constable 17790 Thompson Peter Ndapi, a CID Personnel and who visited the said scene of crime where they found the deceased Komba Mattia hanging dead on a rope. Police sources say the father of the deceased Aiah Ngavjah remarked that his son the deceased was an insane man who prior to the said incident drove away all of his family members in the family house and was left alone. He maintained that few days prior to the incident in question komba Mattia the deceased absconded from where he drove away all of his family members until on the above fateful date when he was discovered hanging dead on a rope.
Meanwhile police investigation into the matter continues.
