48yrs old Aminata Mansaray, 23yrs old Eward Humper and 17yrs old Tommy Humper made another appearance before Magistrate Peter Brima Gogra of Pademba road court No.6 in Freetown on one count charge to wit Assault occasioning actual bodily harm contrary to section 47 of the offences against the person Act 1861
According to the particulars of offence on Tuesday 22nd November 2022 at No.36 Thompson Bay off Wilkinson road the western area in Freetown assaulted Hawa Kamara in a manner thereby occasioning her actual bodily harm
The charge were read and explained to the accused person and she pleaded not guilty
Inspector Musu Edna Kpulun lead Prosecution witness number one Hawa Kamara a house wife said she recognized the accused person as her Neighbour she recall on the 22nd November 2022 she was at home something transfer between herself and the accused at this junction the prosecutor seek for a short adjournment date
Counsel representing the accused person M. Massaqoui applied for bail for and on behalf of the accused person that she is a Sierra Leonean resident within this jurisdiction that she has credible sureties who are willing and ready to go into recognizance on her behalf she will not interfere with prosecution witness or witnesses he made his application pursuant to section 79 3 of the Criminal procedure Act No.32 of 1965
Meanwhile Magistrate Gogra granted the accused person bail in the sum of ten million Leones with two sureties each in like sum sureties to be resident in the western area sureties to produce valid identity card one surety each to be employed bail to be approved by the Bench matter adjourned to the 17th January 2023 for further hearing
