The race for the APC flag bearership position is getting heated as another heavy weight stalwart announces his intention for the position in the person of Dr Kaifala Marrah.
He made the declaration at the Freetown City Council hall on the January 10th, 2023.
Dr Marrah served in the eleven years reign of former president Ernest Koroma both as Finance Minister and Governor of the Bank of Sierra Leone.
Dr Marrah distributed a 56 page document entitled vision of hope, where he outlined his manifesto promise for the June 2023 elections.
During the 2018 general elections, he contested for the same position but loses out to Dr Samura Kamara.
The programme was graced by other APC dignitaries such Alimamy Petito Koroma,Balogun Koroma and Minkailu Koroma.
Delegates of the party will decide in a convention whether he will be given the torch for the flagbearership.
It should be noted that, other flagbearership contenders such as Daisy Bona,Kemoh sesay have also joined the race for the flagbearership.
