Denis John, Yusif Sesay and Lamiel Coker made another appearance before Magistrate Peter Brima Gogra of Pademba road court No.6 in Freetown on one count charge to wit Larceny contrary to section 2 of the Act 1916.
According to the particulars of offence on Saturday 17th December 2022 at Wallace Johnson Street the western area in Freetown Stole one assorted colour bag, rice Bread and cake, one cross brown leather bag and the sum of six thousand Leones all to the total value of six thousand five hundred and eighty five Leones (6,585) property of Conrad Campbell.
The charge was read and explained to the accused person and they pleaded guilty
Assistant Superintendent of police Abdul Sannoh lead Prosecution witness number one constable 17030 Mohamed Sheika Koroma attached to the exhibit office central police station he recalled on the 20th December 2022 whilst on duty police constable 19246 Max A.B handed over to him one old assorted colour bag, one old brown colour bag and the sum of nine hundred Leones for registration and safe keeping.
The witness said he received the said items and he recorded it in the court exhibit book against serial number 144/2022 since then the said exhibit have been in custody of the police the said exhibit was produced and tendered in court to form part of the court records.
The accused persons pleaded with the court to temper justice with mercy.
However, Magistrate Gogra due to the plea mitigation of the accused persons sentenced each accused persons to eighteen month imprisonment at the male correctional center in Freetown.
