On Alleged Wounding: Business Woman Granted Le 400m Bail

33yrs-old Adama Kamara a business woman made her first appearance before Magistrate Mark Ngegba of Pademba road court No.1 in Freetown on three court charges to wit wounding with intent, Wounding and Assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

According to the particulars of offence on Thursday 29th December 2022 at Back off Tourist Board Crab Town Aberdeen maliciously wounded and assaulted Adama Bangura in a manner thereby occasioning her actual grievous bodily harm.

The charges were read and explained to the accused person and no plea taken.

Counsel representing the accused person K.T Dauda applied for bail for and on behalf of the accused person that he is resident within this jurisdiction she has reliable sureties who are willing and ready to go into recognizance on her behalf, she will not interfere with prosecution witness or witnesses she will make herself available on every adjournment date he made his application pursuant to section 79 2 of the Criminal procedure Act No.32 of 1965 and the bail regulation of 2018.

Mainwhile, Magistrate Ngegba granted the accused person bail  in the sum of forty thousand new Leones with two sureties in like sum one surety to be resident in Freetown bail to be approved by the Deputy assistant Registrar. Matter was adjourned to the 24th January 2023 for further hearing, while Inspector Kadie M Taylor Prosecuting the matter.
