Dr. Jackson Blamo, a US – based Management Consultant, residing in Jacksonville, Florida, has revealed to A-Z multimedia cooperation about his motivation to sponsor the establishment of the New Vibration Empire (NVE), a group of talented youths in music at the New England Ville community in Freetown.

Dr. Blamo said the concept emerged in May 2021, when he was in Freetown for holidays and was approached by a group of young men in the community for help in pursuing their musical careers.

“We have made our music but we needed help and promotion for our careers to take off,” the youths pointed out to Dr. Blamo.

Being kind hearted and generous in rendering assistance to the youths and the community at large, Dr. Blamo requested them to find a focal person who was knowledgeable in music to coordinate everything they needed for the concept to become a reality, as according to him, he was keen on creating the avenue for them to realize their fullest potential in music.

Dr Jackson said the youths wasted no time and brought forth two gentlemen in the persons of Abubakarr Kallon and Jeremiah Bonah (who are currently president and vice president of NVE, respectively)  to serve as facilitators, and the name NVE was agreed upon as the official name of the organization.

Afterwards, with the help of the two aforementioned gentlemen and other executive members of the organization, the NVE was officially launched in November 2021.

Later on, with the help of King Millan, a popular musical presenter at the Sierra Leone Broadcasting Cooperation (SLBC), a rigorous talent identification competition was organized to select the best talented among the New England Youths, who would ultimately become the musical torch bearers of the NVE.

CEO Blamo stated that the selection criteria was not restricted to a particular genre as it was a general musical talent explosion encompassing youths who could sing even in their local languages(such as Temne, Limba, and Mende).

“The auditioning in selecting the artists was purely talent based, fair and rigorous and was devoid of familiarity and sentiments, in the end 13 artists were selected including a female dancer and four male dancers,” Dr. Blamo explained.

Dr. Blamo disclosed that his goal with the NVE is to get the youths to a stage and platform where they would be internationally recognized and further outlined that his plan is to arrange an international tour in order to enhance their musical capacity and to further look at ways in devising international collaborations with some other globally renowned artists.

He further divulged to A-Z about the studio he has established for the NVE and has furnished it with the state of the art musical equipment for regular practice and to improve on their musical talents.

In order to avoid friction that is normally prevalent between artists and managers/promoters especially when income generation begins to blossom, he stated that there is a laid down contract that outlines the relationship framework between the artists and NVE management.

He said his doors are also open to anyone who is ready to help these guys and would always relish the idea for any form of external support that would help the NVE realizes its objective.

“Since the inception of the concept, I have being the sole financier of the project but I am currently discussing with one of the biggest musical promoters in the country to help in rendering support to the NVE, so as to help these youths achieve their dream,” Dr. Blamo continued.

Dr. Blamo emphasized not everyone would become a doctor, lawyer, engineer. Etc., but if the youths are motivated and have the passion to succeed in music, he would provide the push and the impetus to help them attain their goals.

“These guys are really talented, within a year of establishing the NVE, they have produced an NVE anthem, a video which is on Youtube and have further released 13 brand new songs which is amazing, Dr. Blamo  disclosed.

CEO Blamo concluded by emphasizing that the reason he is hooked up with the NVE guys is because he doesn’t want them to be drug and alcohol addicts, which would not only hamper them physically and mentally, but would also impact them socially in relation to families, friends, community and relatives, he therefore urges them to eschew negative influences and hope, work hard, believe in themselves and try to leave a legacy in life.

It should be noted that Dr. Jackson Blamo holds a Ph.D in Management and Organization, an academic achievement and experience he is assiduously implementing in managing the artists of NVE.

“The NVE would be eternally grateful to Dr. Blamo for his humanitarian efforts in nurturing and promoting our musical careers, in fact he is not only a blessing to the NVE, but a blessing in disguise to the entire New England Ville community,” one of the NVE beneficiaries told A-Z.
