28yrs old Ibrahim Fofanah a stone miner made another appearance before Magistrate Peter Gogra of Pademba road court No.6 in Freetown on two counts charges to wit Wounding Contrary to Section 20 of the offences against the person Act 1861 and Assault occasioning actual bodily harm contrary to section 47 of the offences against the person Act 1861.

According to the particulars of offence on Tuesday 8th November 2022 at Phase 1 Gbangbayillah Hill station the mountain rural district the western area in Freetown maliciously wounded and assaulted Olayinka Egarton Arnold Jones in a manner thereby occasioning him actual bodily harm.

The charges were read and explained to the accused person and he pleaded not guilty.

The prosecutor Sergeant 1462 Amiza John informed the Bench that her witness is present but she didn’t have proper conference with her.

Counsel representing the accused person A.T Mansaray applied for bail for and on behalf of the accused person that he is a Sierra Leonean resident within this jurisdiction and that he has reliable sureties who are willing and ready to go into recognizance on his behalf.

 He will not interfere with prosecution witness or witnesses nor will he jumped bail he made his application pursuant to section 79 3 of the Criminal procedure Act No.32 of 1965.

Main while Magistrate Gogra granted the accused person bail in the sum of twenty million Leones with two sureties in like sum.

 Sureties to be resident in the western area and sureties must produce valid identity card depicting his or her address in Freetown.

 One surety must be employed in a government institution in Sierra Leone and bail to be approved by the Bench.
