Detective Police Witness officer 1169 Jusu P has testified before Magistrate Marke Ngegba in Freetown on the 12 March. The witness said he knew the accused persons and the complainant. The witness said he was on duty on the 9th January, 2021 when they handed to him a file of conspiracy.
He reportedly received a filed from a Police Constable 12085 Conteh who is attached at the Kabala Police Station. He said he arrested the accused persons with one white Toyota Land cruiser with foreign registration number plate RC3564AYRG and one fake life card.
He said that the exhibit was registered. The accused persons Michael Kamara alias Teddy and Santigie Bai Koroma alias Turner were arraigned before Magistrate Marke Ngegba for conspiracy contrary to Laws of Sierra Leone.
Both accused persons allegedly conspired together with other persons unknown to commit a felony, to wit robbery with aggravation between 15th and 28th August, 2020 at No.4 Braima Drive ,Goderich, Freetown.
Both accused persons were allegedly armed with guns and machetes and robbed Kekera Seingah Braima one black computer back-pack valued fifty USD, one Lenovo computer valued One USD ($1,000) equivalent to ten million five hundred thousand Leones(Le.10,500,000), one compact computer valued One USD ($1,000) equivalent to ten million five hundred thousand Leones (Le.10,500,000), three external computer hard drive valued one million five hundred and sixty thousand Leones (Le1,560,000), three silver rings valued two thousand one hundred USD ($2,100,000) equivalent to twenty-one million eight hundred and forty thousand Leones (Le.21,840,000), one Samsung galaxy S9mobile phone valued one thousand USD (Le.1,000), equivalent to ten million five hundred thousand Leones (Le.10,500,000) etc. all valued of one hundred and eighty million four hundred and ten thousand Leones (Le.180,410,000) property of Kekura Seingah Braima.
The matter was prosecuted by Inspector I.S.Gbassy and there was no lawyer representing the accused persons. Matter has been adjourned to 29th March.
