Chernor Maju Bah, aka Match P, a car washer and mechanic was stabbed to death by some unknown people on Saturday the 5th March 2021 at Pyke Street, Freetown.
According to eye-witnesses account, the deceased was the first person to have stabbed one bike rider to death and ran for safety; the onlookers later chased and stabbed him death.
They also disclosed that, the deceased took a commercial motor bike with the bargain to pay the rider but later decided not to pay the motor bike rider and immediately drew out a knife and stabbed him on his neck and died.
Constable Fatmata Kargbo one of the police officers in the scene with police number 18585 told A-Z newspaper that, they met this body here and don’t know the relatives and what exactly happened.
After 30 minutes of the incidents, a team from Central Police Station and Connaught Mortuary came and moved the body to the Cottage Mortuary and other matters connected therewith.
According to Mr. John Tarawali, Detective Assistant Superintendent of Police (DASP) said, the matter is still under investigation.
The Head of Mortuary, Sinneh Kamara told this medium that the body including other destitutes will be buried on Tuesday after the police report and the identification of the body. However, this medium is yet to conclude whether the deceased has been identified or laid to rest.
