An alleged commercial sex worker Ramatu Ellie is in Police net at the Motema Police Divisional headquarters in Nimikoro Chiefdom Kono District for attempting to sell her colleague commercial sex worker whom she trafficked from the Eastern Regional Headquarter town of Kenema on Thursday 20th October 2022. According to a commercial bike rider Alfred Sahr Kamanda who travelled with the two alleged commercial sex workers to Kono District, the two girls met him and his colleague commercial motor bike riders at the Saint Charles park in Kenema in order to hire a bike to take them to Ramatu’s Uncle Paramount Chief Aiah Denton Bona of Nimikoro Chiefdom Kono District as alleged.
He said whilst they were negotiating the cost of the transport fare from Kenema to Kono District he asked Ramatu Ellie to call and inform her uncle about their visit because the money she had was not enough for the journey owing to the recent increment in the price of fuel.
Ramatu remarked that she has lost her uncle’s phone number and as a native of Nimikoro Chiefdom, the commercial motor bike rider further maintained that because he never wanted to lose the trip he called out the paramount chief’s number which Ramatu used to communicate to the Chief off from where they were standing adding after the phone conversation they left for Kono District.
The Commercial motor bike rider further maintained that upon their arrival in Bumpeh town Nimikoro Chiefdom Kono District Ramatu Ellie again called Paramount Chief Bona for the last time nothing after the phone conversation they were allowed to enter the compound of the Chief in Question who came outside his living room and paid the remaining one hundred thousand old Leones thereby completing the full three hundred thousand Old Leones payment as negotiated at the saint Charles park in Kenema.
In an interview with Paramount Chief Aiah Denton Bona of Nimikoro Chiefdom Kono District, he told this medium that on the aforementioned fateful date at around Thirteen (13) hours GMT he received a strange call of which the caller told him that she has a business for him but was travelling from Tongor without transport fare.
He noted that how can she travel to do business without transport fare and that he was not interested. Chief Bona maintained that after the first phone conversation the same caller bored him with so many calls because she mentioned business he thought it were diamond and as a result he kept discussing with the unknown caller until their arrival in his compound in Bumpeh town Nimikoro Chiefdom Kono District and was asked to pay the remaining transport fare before transacting business.
“After I have paid the transport fare for the two young girls I took them to my office”, Paramount Chief Bona noted.
“Whilst in my office I asked the strange girls to tell me the business they have brought according to our previous phone discussions nothing Ramatu Ellie kept telling him that they should discuss in Kono language because she never wanted her colleague who does not speak Kono to understand what was going on”, the Chief explained.
Paramount Chief Bona pointed out that to his greatest surprise Ramatu Ellie told him that she brought her colleague Angella Sandy from Kenema to be sold for two cartoons of Money.
According to the Chief upon hearing such information he left the office with the pretext of going for the money noting whilst he was outside his office he then informed the police about the ugly situation.
He said it was during their discussion when he got inside his office for the second time thereafter; the police arrived at his place and arrested the two girls. Meanwhile the two girls are presently in Police custody at the Motema Police divisional headquarters for further police investigations.
