The matter between the State against Alimamy Kamara, former Honorable Member of Parliament and former Minster of Youth Affairs and former Ambassador to the Republic of Iran has been adjourned to 10th October, 2022 for ruling on a no case submission.
The accused person Alimamy Kamara, defense counsel representing him Africanus Sorie Sesay and state Prosecutor from the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) Joel T. Tarawallie were all awaiting the ruling of the judge on the no case application.
On instruction of the Justice Hannah Bonnie through the Registrar informed the court of an adjournment of the matter due to an interruption of documents files in the judge’s Computer.
Justice Hannah Bonnie extended her sincerest apologies to the court and accused person who presently resides in Makeni.
Justice Hannah Bonnie has adjourned the matter to the 10th October, 2022 agreed by both counsels and the accused person.
The accused person Alimamy Kamara is before the court answering to related criminal offences, ranging from failure to declare his asset throughout his service in government under the past administration of the All People’s Congress.
The Prosecution had closed its case against the accused person after leading several witnesses, and the defence made a no case submission on behalf of the accused person, Alimamy Kamara.
