Mountain City Community on 4th September 2022 defeated Bambara Town Community by two goals to nil to keep their hope alive in the ongoing inter- Community league sponsored by President Julius Maada Bio and in collaboration with the Gento group of company.
Mountain City went into the match knowing that only a win will have to keep them in the competition, however, they drew their first match by a goalless draw against Wilberforce Community. The early goal of the match came in the 29th minute of play and was converted by Adebayor Black the striker for Central Parade Football Club converted a good short to the midfield area and put the ball back of the net to give his side the desired goal of the match.
While the visitors, Bambra Town Community continues to push to get the equalizers but the solid defensive work of the Mountain City prevented them from conceiving any goals to maintain their run in the group stages.
After the recess, Mountain City continue with their heavy pressure as they get their second goal in the 60th minute of play, and the goal was converted by Raymond D. Kargbo as he made use of a loose ball in the penalty area and converted it for the host Mountain City as they get their second to wrap up their much-needed win in the ongoing competition; today’s win has given them hope of making it to and next round of the competition, but they need to avoid a defeat in their last match.
In another development, Kingtom Community will entertain Wilberforce Community in a crunch tie as both needs a win to get hope of progressing to the group stages.
