One of the indigenes of Barrie Chiefdom, Constituency 099 in Pujehun District Steven U. Mansaray who expressed his intension to become a member of Parliament in Pujehun District, has said that he has been committed to complimenting President Bio’s Human Capital Development in Constituency 099 in Pujehun District.
Speaking to A-Z Newspaper in Bo, Mr. Mansaray said that the work that she is doing she is always focused on the future generation and because of that she is committed to complimenting President Bio’s human capital development.
“In the constituency where I find myself I want to see the children making use of the computers to help in the pursuit of their education, because we are in a global world where the usage of the computer is very important to be part of the world,’’ he said, adding that “I am always following what this government is doing”.
Mr. Mansray said that ‘’ since this government came into power, she was the first person to build a school in constituency 099 and the school is doing well in Barrie Chiefdom and she have been supportive to the school and other schools in that constituency with school materials including school uniforms for the pupils”.
It came to my knowledge that the Secondary Schools in Barrie Chiefdom , all the administrative work on papers are taken to Bo or Zimmi and I had to provide for them laptops and I have given to Barrie Islamic Secondary School and Kundorwa Junior Secondary School otherwise called Islamic Call Society School(ICS) .
“I still have two laptops which I want to give one to DEC Primary School and one to Sadia National Junior Islamic Secondary School,’’ adding that “I have other five laptops which will be taken to the Agricultural Training Center which will help the youths in the constituency and the district as a whole by acquiring skills to enhance their livelihoods’’.
Mr. Mansray said that an Information Technology expert have been recruited to help the youths at the Agriculture Training Centre in order to train them to acquire knowledge on the use of the computer.
He said that he is also determined to training women to become farmers at the Agriculture Training Centre and a projector has been provided at the centre to help in this direction as they should be trained to have both the theoretical and practicals to help them become good farmers to compliment president Bio food security drive in the country.
Mr. Mansaray said that they want to train them to know how to cultivate the nitrogen fixing tree knowns as Inga.
He noted that in addition to the learning materials, he has been providing showing machines to help the capacity of those who could not go through the formal education to become productive citizens of the country.
Mr. Masanray said that he wants to change the lives of the women, the youths and of course the children to help President Bio to achieve the government priorities, which he campaigned on, as I want him to be re-elected in the 2023 elections and of course to be by him as a member of parliament to move Pujehun District forward.
He encouraged the people to go the registration centres to register to ensure that President Bio is re-elected and join him to continue with the good work he has started as leader of the nation.
“I have provided support to enhance the movement of people to the registration centres and I have engaging the radio and the social media to encourage the people to go out in large numbers to register.
Speaking to A-Z Newspaper, the youths in Constituency 99 in Pujehun District, said that ‘’ the Pujehun district, regional and national executive of the Sierra Leone Peoples Party (SLPP) should know that Steven Mansaray had not thought of becoming an MP and did well for us to change our lives for the better.’’
Joseph Magona said that the youths have endorsed him to be the next MP, because of what he has done to compliment President Bio’s Human Capital Development.’’
Isata Konneh, a school pupil in ICS School said that Mr. Mansray is doing a lot for us in my school so please let us give him the opportunity to come and do more for the people in not only in the constituency 99 but Pujehun District as a whole.’
