The battle for supremacy in the Housemates Season (3) reality TV Show has climaxed to its fateful end, with the most perceived loose cannon Juliana Conteh alias Julie Tombo emerging as the Lucky winner of $25,000 ( Le 250,000,000 in the old note) plus a fully funded luxurious trip to Dubai.

The Prize was presented by the First Lady of the Republic of Sierra Leone Madam Fatima Maada Bio.

The superiority complex in the house was not easy for Julie Tombo, as the mother of six painstakingly navigated her way and defeated eleven (11) residents (homebased) contenders and eleven (11) non-residents competitors (JCs).

In total, twenty-two (22) housemates were converged to compete for the now gone   grand prize of twenty-five thousand United States Dollars ($25,000), (Le 250,000,000 in the old note). Julie Tombo will enjoy a paid up luxurious trip to Dubai in a form of vacation.

This years’ Housemate Salon Season 3, was themed on creativity, friendship, love, individuality, surmounting problems and impacts in society. After rigorous audition, only twenty-two (22) contestants were lucky to make it into the house. The Housemates comprised of young men and women from different social backgrounds across Sierra Leone, Africa, United State of America and Europe.

Weekly responsibilities were given to the twenty-two contenders for the twenty five thousand United States Dollars. As the show progresses, the outstanding performing couple were accorded the enviable chance of winning the two top prices.

Equally so, the winning of the reality TV show was pegged on public voting by various support groups of the housemates. Which means the meritorious victory by Julie Tombo was out of her exceptional performance in the house, coupled with a massive support base outside the house.

The twenty-two (22) competitors  in the Housemates Season 3 tournament were; Alice H. Kanjai who came all the way from the United States of America to compete among the homebased, Abdul Alhadi from the United Kindom, Aminata Tejah Mansaray from Sweden, Abdul Michael Koroma, a homebased competitor, Augusta Kumba Yongai from Washington DC United States of America, Almon Sall another homebased, Ina Elizabeth Cole a resident in Ghana, Daniel Sesay homebased, Juliana Conteh Alas Julie Tombo(winner) is also from America, Edward Wright a homebased musician, Juliet Konya Sesay homebased, Francis Mo Conteh homebased, Lolo Simeon From France, Franklyn Gibson homebased, Munah Mimi Zayat from the United Sates, George Taylor from United States, Patricia Rebecca Jamestina-Will a homebased, Noahmi George came from Dubai, Patricia Rose Tucker homebased contender, Osman Bendu homebased, Yeanie Healen Sundufu homebased, and Paul Mbayo from Canada.

The just concluded third edition of Housemates Salon was actually merged with emotional fisticuff between JC’s (non-Residents), and homebased contenders. The Non-resident Julie Tombo being crowned as winner justified the superiority complex from the non-residents that eventually outshined the homebased.

The Housemates Season 3 edition was dubbed “D GAME GET YAGBA” which means that this particular edition was indeed highly contestable. In other words, it was a show of survival of the fittest to bag the twenty-five thousand dollars home plus other facilities which include a VIP trip to Dubai.

Among the non-residents contenders, viewers of the show actually speckled an emerging loose cannon from the initial stage one of the show.  The celebratory victory of Julie Tombo did not really come as a surprise to his large support base. Her tenacity in ensuring that she bagged the 25 thousand dollars home started unearthing from the genesis of the show. The dominant and irritable name among other contenders and viewers was Juliana Conteh alias Julie Tombo. The name Julie Tombo has gained momentous popularity in and out of the house due to her crazy tendencies. Her unmatched craziness in the house made her to be earmarked as an outstanding and heavy-weight contender among her mates.

The third edition of the Housemates Salon was premised on the successful conclusion of the season 2 show which took place sometimes in May 2021.

Despite all the challenges in the last episode, the show managed to attract millions of viewers from all corners of Sierra Leone and the African Continent at large.

The Premiering of the Housemates Salone season 3 commenced with an official launch of its season 3 live at the Mamba Point Lagoonda on the 13th of February 2022.

The official launching of the Housemates season 3 was hosted by the winner of the Housemates season 2 edition Saraih Robert. This widely viewed show is usually organized by African Young Voices Media Empire (AYV), in partnership with one of Sierra Leone’s leading Mobile Network Operators Africell.

The Managing Director of Africell has been on record on many occasions nodding his unflinching partnership towards the show. The main purpose of organizing the show is to create the enabling platform for young people to showcase their talents to the world.

In her determinant mood to boost entertainment across every sector in the country, the Minister of Tourism and Cultural Affairs Dr. Memunatu Pratt registered her indefatigable support towards the show. She has been heard in many of her media engagement assuring the nation that the show has the propensity to showcase Sierra Leone’s Culture to the world, and also help boost the tourism sector in the country.

The Chief Executive Officer of AYV Anthony Junior Navo, equally described the show as a means of exposing the talent of young people in Sierra Leone. Our sister country Nigeria has similar show which is dubbed as Big Brother Naija.

Thus, the Housemates were organized with the determination to compete with their Nigerian counterpart which is the more reason the show was featured on DSTV Channel 399.
